Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to coordinate referrals for 100+ outpatient clinics. This is a full-time, in-office role with hours Mon–Fri, 7am–7pm; compensation depends on experience with a minimum of $19–$25 per hour.

Key duties include answering rollover calls, scheduling referrals, and managing high call volume. You will use EPIC, Therapy Source, and other sites to obtain referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and relate ideas effectively with staff, payers, patients, and physicians.
• One to two years medical billing and administrative experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, documentation, problem-solving and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answer rollover calls from clinics.
• Call referrals received from provider sources.
• Manage high call volume and return patient voicemails.
• Use EPIC, Therapy Source and other sites to obtain referrals.
• Be part of a team of schedulers (approx. 15).

Centralized Scheduler

Hours: vary between Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm (8 hour shifts)

Full Time

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

Minimum starting salary: $19 - $25 per hour based off experience

This is NOT a remote position, applicants are required to come into the office.

Responsibilities

The centralized scheduling department is a high demand department responsible for scheduling referrals for all 100+ BSWIR outpatient clinics.

• Answering incoming rollover calls from clinics
• Calling referrals received from provider sources
• Overall high call volume and returning patient’s voicemails
• Working out EPIC, Therapy source and other sites to obtain and call referrals
• Team of 15 Schedulers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual preferred
• Courses in bookkeeping and accounting OR work experience in a healthcare or related setting.
• One to two years medical billing and administrative experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and relate ideas effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, management staff, third party payers, patients, and physicians.
• Must have strong skills in computer equipment and software, detailed documentation, problem-solving and excellent customer service.
