Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics. The role includes charging and logging services, performing daily biological testing, and supporting OR operations.

Successful candidates will have completed an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program, with awareness of infection control and medical terminology. Must be able to float to all UCI Health locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology.
• Ability to float to all locations of UCI Health as needed.
• Knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the department and clinics.
• Charge, bill, and log service as well as OR patient charges.
• Perform daily biological testing and participate in performance improvement projects.
