Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies for the hospital and outlying clinics. Will also perform charging, billing and logging of services, including OR patient charges, and conduct daily biological testing.

Qualified applicants have completed an accredited Sterile Processing program or have 18 months of relevant experience, knowledge of infection control, and a current CRCST/CSPDT

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
• Current full CRCST or CSPDT certification. Must maintain certification by taking CEUs and renewing certification.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
