Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies throughout the hospital and clinics. You will also handle charging and logging of services for the OR and perform daily biological testing.

Applicants should have completed an accredited Sterile Processing program or Surgical Technology, and be able to float across locations as needed. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must float between all UCI Health locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the department and OR.
• Charge, bill, and log service and patient charges as required.
• Perform daily biological testing as part of quality assurance.
• Float between UCI Health locations to cover staffing needs.
