Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies across the hospital and clinics. The role includes charging, billing, and logging OR services, plus daily biological testing.

You will participate in performance improvement projects and support a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare environment. Evening/night/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program.
• Or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Current CRCST or CSPDT certification; maintain CEUs and renewal.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics.
• Charge, bill, and log service and patient charges for the OR.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Participate in departmental and center-wide performance improvement initiatives.
