Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies for the hospital and clinics.

You will support performance improvement projects and may float to all UCI Health locations as needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualified candidates have an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program, CRCST/CSPDT certification, and knowledge of infection control.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program.
• Current CRCST or CSPDT certification; maintain through CEUs.
• Must float to all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Be able to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment for the department across the hospital and clinics.
• Participate in department and medical center wide performance improvement projects as requested.
• Float to all UCI Health locations as needed.
