Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics. The role requires flexibility to float to all locations and to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Candidates should have completed an accredited sterile processing program or have 18 months of relevant experience, knowledge of infection control, and current CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited sterile processing program or 18 months of relevant experience.
• Must float to all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current CRCST or CSPDT certification and renewal via CEUs.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies and equipment.
• Distribute supplies dispensed by the department to hospital and clinics.
• Float to all UCI Health locations as needed on project assignments.
