Job summary

VSP Vision seeks an experienced leader to own centralized operations across ventures and acquired practices. You will define, implement and optimize processes, systems and procedures while coordinating with partners to deliver best-in-class eye care operations.

You will drive improvements in supply chain, software and vendor management, and forecast staffing needs for growth across multiple locations, with up to 30% travel and a focus on price optimization and market differentiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports
• Demonstrated knowledge of third-party plan configuration and direct experience in revenue cycle management and insurance credentialing
• Familiar with optical industry practices and procedures
• Demonstrated understanding of point of sales (POS) systems and inventory management
• Strong business acumen including experience working with KPI’s and other performance metrics
• Experience in the optometric industry with a strong understanding of optical office flow, optical software, planning and supply chain management
• Proven experience managing external vendors, employees and products at multiple locations
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and effectively communicate changes in the work place
• Demonstrated ability to develop plans to accommodate growth
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve work processes
• Highly organized and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
• Must be self-motivated and driven toward achievement of long-term goals
• Must be able to develop, work against, and meet tight and aggressive deadlines and goals
• Ability to travel 30% of the time
• For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment

• Oversee centralized operations across Ventures and practices.
• Define, plan, implement and optimize central operational processes, systems and procedures.
• Oversee the management of centralized practice management software across Ventures practices.
• Drive care-focused efficiencies, best practices and high-quality eye care.
• Collaborate with partners to create process innovation in supply chain planning and operations.
• Manage and drive continual improvement of supply chain, software, vendor management and PMS software.
• Forecast additional employee needs as Ventures grows and expands locations.
• Define and implement price and availability optimization analysis.
• Set clear market differentiation through efficiencies, service, patient focus and expertise.
• Manage department budget and growth-aligned staffing.
