Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Kroc Center in Grand Rapids seeks a General Manager to provide leadership, oversight and administration for daily operations, ensuring objectives are met and programs run smoothly.

Lead the leadership team, manage budgets, guide staff policies, and coordinate with headquarters to achieve strategic outcomes. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with occasional travel for events.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant field and strong budgeting experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in program development, planning, management, and evaluation for non-profit programs.
• Experience administering budgets and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Develop and monitor annual operating budget.
• Oversee center directors and managers.
• Coordinate capital improvement plans and vendor communication.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure effective communications.
• Ensure risk management and emergency procedures.
• Represent the Kroc Center in community groups and public forums.
• Ensure programs meet strategic objectives and budget goals.
