Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division seeks a General Manager for the Ray and Joan Kroc Corp Community Center. This leadership role directs operations, facilities, programs, and finances to maximize impact in service of The Salvation Army mission.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff management, program development, safety, and policy execution to ensure high-quality guest experiences and financial soundness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Recreation Management or related field.
• Non-Profit Management experience is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a General Manager/Operations leadership role.
• Experience managing facility budgets of at least $3 million.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Provide leadership to program directors, operational managers, and business managers.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, safety, and policy compliance across the center.
• Oversee capital improvement plans and vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with HR on staff policies and procedures.
• Direct day-to-day operations to achieve mission-aligned goals and strong guest service.
