Job summary

The USO Center at Schofield Barracks, HI seeks a dedicated Center Operations Specialist to manage daily operations, greet visitors, ensure a safe, welcoming environment, and deliver high‑quality programs for service members and their families.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in events, customer service or recreation facilities, strong teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and volunteer software; willingness to work non‑standard hours and coordinate with volunteers and partners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years work experience in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role.
• Non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operational procedures in a cost-effective, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Interact with Center visitors and troubleshoot issues; manage vendors when needed.
• Maintain inventory, report on finances, and support budget reporting as required.
• Create and maintain SOPs for local operations and activities.
• Plan and oversee programs, events, and activities, including logistics and resources.
