Job summary

The USO seeks a Center Operations Specialist at McCrady Training Center in Eastover, SC to manage day-to-day Center operations, ensure a safe, welcoming environment, and oversee programs, events, and volunteer involvement. You will interact with service members and families, delivering engaging experiences and maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, assisting with budgets and reports, and supporting communications to raise awareness of programs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years work experience in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facilities or related role.
• Strong interpersonal customer service and problem solving skills.
• Ability to interact with USO leadership, the public and military audiences with integrity and professionalism.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute day to day Center operational procedures ensuring a cost effective, safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Monitor and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Enforce sanitary and food handling guidelines and regulations.
• Engage with Center visitors and serve as subject matter expert about its amenities, tours, classes, programs and services; troubleshoot issues.
• Help maintain Center operations within budget.
• Provide data for financial, operational and statistical reports as requested.
• Coordinate with Center Operations Manager to plan, oversee, and lead execution of programs and events.
