Job summary

The USO seeks a Center Operations Specialist in Bethesda, MD to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for service members and families. You will oversee facilities, volunteers, inventory, and program delivery to maximize impact.

You will work with military and community partners, monitor budgets, collect reports, and help grow programs both on and off installations, contributing to a trusted nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, or related role.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and obtain required credentials.
• Experience with cash/donation handling and budget reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations ensuring a safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Interact with Center visitors and assist with amenities, tours, classes and services; troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor inventory, handle cash, and report on financial data for reports.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for local operations and activities.
• Plan and oversee programs, logistics, inventory, budget, social media and database management.
