Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an energetic Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under supervision. Candidates must be RBT certified or complete a 40-hour course and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities include following treatment protocols, collecting data, and assisting with caregiver training, while maintaining documentation and a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Background check upon offer as part of the hiring process.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation with possible license/insurance proof.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification; TB test if not current within 1 year.
• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Professional presentation and conduct.
• Patience and adaptability to support children with autism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good cultural competency and data-collection experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow treatment plans and protocols created by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize observable client behavior data.
• Assist with parent/caregiver training per treatment plan.
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation.
• Communicate progress with parents/caregivers as instructed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC with client materials and assessments.
