Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, in High Point, North Carolina, is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician for center-based ABA therapy. This full-time role provides direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, following individualized treatment plans and collecting data on progress.

You’ll train families, ensure timely documentation, and communicate progress to BCBA/BC. Attractive benefits include PTO, structured pay increases, and a practicum supervision track.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification as issued by the BACB.
• Must be willing to participate in the company’s background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
• Must be able to physically perform this job, including getting down on the floor and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to do repetitive tasks precisely.
• Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
• Strong understanding of technology to record data on a mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the client's individualized treatment plan.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client’s treatment protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures.
• Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and report all safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments.
