Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a center-based role in Wilmington, NC. The RBT will implement treatment plans, collect data, engage clients in therapeutic activities, and communicate progress with families under BCBA supervision.

The ideal candidate has RBT certification or training, experience with children with autism, and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be an Active RBT or have completed a 40-hour RBT training recognized by BACB.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work as part of a treatment team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; sit/stand/squat as needed.
• On-site center-based work environment.
