Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver high-quality ABA therapy at our center in Wilmington, NC. The role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting progress data, and engaging families in the therapy process under BCBA supervision.

The ideal candidate has an active RBT credential (or BACB-acknowledged 40-hour training), strong communication skills, and a commitment to ethical behavior analysis.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification OR certificate of completion of a 40-hour RBT training course recognized by the BACB
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team
• Desire for ongoing professional development and training
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and sit/stand/squat throughout the day
• Center-based on-site work required

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA
• Collect data on client behaviors and progress
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to promote learning and development
• Communicate with families about their child\'s progress and strategies
• Assist in developing educational materials and resources
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of behavior analysis
