Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for our center-based program in Winston-Salem, NC. You will implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and engage children in therapeutic activities under BCBA supervision.

The role requires an RBT certification or BACB-recognized 40-hour training, 1+ year experience with children or individuals with special needs, and a commitment to ethical behavior analysis.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification or completion of a 40-hour RBT training course recognized by the BACB
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively within a treatment team
• Desire for ongoing professional development and training
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work fully on-site

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA
• Collect data on client behaviors and progress
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to promote learning and development
• Communicate with families about progress and strategies
• Assist in developing educational materials and resources
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions
