Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, is a high-commitment, center-based ABA Therapy program focused on young children with autism in Allen, TX. The role supports direct client care in 1:1 and small-group settings, following BCBA/BC protocols and collecting data to guide individualized treatment plans.

The position requires RBT certification or completion of the 40-hour training with a competency exam within 45 days, plus background check and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain RBT certification or be willing to complete a 40-hour training and sit for the competency exam within 45 days of employment.
• Must participate in background check process.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain TB test annually.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong understanding of technology to record data on a mobile device.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong cultural competency and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow behavioral skill acquisition and reduction protocols outlined by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Use safe procedures and report all critical incidents and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work/therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments.
