Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking exceptional Behavior Technicians to support children on the autism spectrum through ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The role requires an RBT certification or willingness to complete a 40-hour training and sit for the RBT exam within 45 days of employment.

Candidates must pass a background check, have a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain RBT certification; complete 40-hour training and sit for the RBT exam within 45 days of employment.
• Must be willing to participate in background check process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not done in the past year.
• Must be able to physically perform the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving on the floor.
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Strong cultural competency and ability to remain flexible and open-minded.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA-based client care.
• Follow behavior acquisition and reduction protocols per client plan (BCBA/BC).
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with treatment protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and per procedures.
• Communicate progress to parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Assist with preparation of client materials and assessments.
• Support BCBA/BC in data collection and program development.
