Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy seeks an exceptional behavior technician to provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 and group setting under BCBA supervision. Must hold or be willing to obtain RBT certification within 45 days. The role includes data collection, parent training, and adherence to treatment plans.

Position is full-time, in-center, with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Background check, CPR/First Aid, TB test, and driving requirements may apply. Competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to participate in background check.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license and proof of insurance in some cases.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not done in past year.
• Must be physically able to perform job duties including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Reliable and punctual for therapy appointments.
• Professional presentation and conduct.
• Patient and flexible to help clients stay on task.
• Maintain emotional control during challenging client interactions.
• Positive attitude and drive to help children acquire new skills.
• Strong focus on detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Ability to follow and execute detailed instructions.
• Strong computer literacy to record data on mobile devices.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong cultural competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group ABA settings.
• Follow individualized treatment plans created by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize observable client data.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely and proper documentation.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain safe and organized therapy environments.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments.
