Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, is seeking an in-center Registered Behavior Technician to implement one-on-one and small group ABA sessions for young children. The role operates Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, at our Maryland center with a competitive pay range and benefits.

Responsibilities include data collection, adherence to treatment plans designed by BCBA/BC, and parent training support.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification.
• Willing to participate in the company’s background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
• Must be able to physically perform this job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong cultural competency and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed protocols as outlined in the client’s treatment plan built by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with treatment protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time following procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments.
