Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in Plano, TX is seeking exceptional behavior technicians. Candidates must hold current RBT certification or commit to completing the 40-hour training and exam within 45 days.

You will deliver ABA therapy 1:1 under BCBA supervision to children on the autism spectrum, focusing on language, social and school readiness skills. Compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour with education/experience-based increases, plus benefits, PTO, and a practicum program to earn

Qualifications

• Willing to participate in background check.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation; driver’s license and insurance.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid; TB test if not in past year.
• Physically capable; lift up to 50lbs and move as needed.
• Reliable and punctual for scheduled therapy.
• Professional in presentation and conduct.
• Patient with clients; keep tasks on track.
• Maintain emotional control during challenges.
• Positive attitude and drive to help clients acquire skills.
• Attention to detail; handle repetitive tasks accurately.
• Follow detailed instructions.
• Strong tech skills to record data on mobile devices.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Cultural competency; flexible and open-minded.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings with intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow treatment plans created by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely and proper documentation.
• Communicate progress to parents/caregivers as instructed.
• Report safety concerns and incidents; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain clean, safe therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing materials and assessments.
