Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking exceptional behavior technicians to deliver ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under BCBA supervision. Candidates should hold or be willing to complete the 40-hour RBT training and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment. Pay range is $16-$23 per hour.

Responsibilities include direct client care, data collection, and family training, with emphasis on language, communication, social, and school readiness skills. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to participate in background check if offered
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation with proof of license and insurance if required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not in past year
• Must be able to perform physically (lift up to 50lbs) and move quickly when needed
• Must be reliable for every scheduled therapy appointment
• Maintain professionalism in presentation and conduct
• Must have patience to help clients stay on task
• Maintain emotional control during challenging behavior
• Positive attitude and drive to help a child acquire new skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Strong tech skills to log data on mobile devices
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong cultural competency and open-mindedness

Responsabilités

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols from the client’s treatment plan by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment and protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time per procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Use safe procedures and report all incidents and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials, assessments, and skills acquisition.
