Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or unencumbered nursing license in the state.
• Minimum three years of census development and occupancy management experience in a nursing home or related facility.
• Knowledge of nursing/medical practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and implements an external sales strategy with daily activities to achieve census goals while complying with state and federal laws.
• Plans and implements an external census sales strategy to build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, senior centers, home health agencies, hospice, and other referral sources.
• Identifies opportunities with new referral partners and develops sales strategies to communicate the facility's services.
• Submits a monthly calendar of events, visits, and activities to the supervisor showing census strategy implementation.
• Provides weekly documentation of calendar execution to supervisor.
• Develops and implements a sales strategy that leads to conversion of referrals to admissions.
• Schedules routine events with referral partners and reports results to the Admissions Director.
• Maintains current listing of referral partners and personal assignments at all times.
• Tracks personal close ratio and reviews with Admissions Director weekly or as requested.
• Uses CRM/referral tracking systems to keep contact information current.
• Conducts presentations of services to health providers, community groups, and potential residents.
• Monitors outcomes of efforts and proposes solutions to Admissions Director.
• Keeps updated on Medicare/Medicaid and other insurances for short- and long-term care services.
• Maintains knowledge of facility capabilities and admissions processes, coordinating with Admissions Director or DON as needed.
