Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a Director of Census Development to lead census growth across its care centers. This role partners with Operations and Clinical leadership to maximize referrals and occupancy while driving profitability.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute statewide and facility-level census strategies, manage relationships with hospitals and referral sources, and guide workforce planning to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Experience using Word, Excel, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• PointClickCare experience preferred.
• English proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement census growth strategies across multiple nursing facilities within the long-term care network.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, referral sources, and market expansion initiative.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to support occupancy goals and drive consistent census performance.
