Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection services for roadway, bridge, and transportation projects. You will conduct field inspections, verify materials, maintain project records, and support project engineers throughout construction.

The role requires reviewing plans, specifications, and procedures, with duties spanning resurfacing, safety improvements, and bridge rehabilitation projects. A valid license and GDOT certifications are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, or heavy civil construction.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials and inspection procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations (geometry, trigonometry).

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement and compaction.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion/sediment control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records.
• Supervise or direct other inspectors as assigned.
• Participate in project meetings and plan reviews.
