Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection services for roadway, bridge, and transportation projects in Georgia. You will conduct field inspections, verify materials and workmanship, maintain project documentation, and support project engineers throughout the construction process.

The role requires reading and interpreting plans and specs, knowledge of highway construction methods, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Highest requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1.5–3 years of progressive transportation inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and overall construction quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, structural steel, concrete placement, culverts, and backfill operations.
• Monitor and inspect traffic control devices and erosion and sediment control measures.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations for pay quantities and maintain accurate contract documentation and project records.
• Prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and document project activities and findings.
• Supervise or provide directions to inspectors performing routine inspection activities, as assigned.
