Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and person-centered resident experiences within a supportive team.

The position requires CDM certification, a relevant degree, and two years of supervisory food service experience. Travel within service area may be needed; benefits and career development opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• CDM certification is required.
• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies must be complied with.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment with HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Use protective gear, ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions, report equipment needs promptly.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff and residents.
• All other duties as assigned.
