Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Food Service Director to join the management team, reporting to the Administrator. You will oversee dietary operations, ensuring quality, service, and sanitation standards across the facility.

Responsibilities include budgeting, safety, regulatory compliance, staff recruitment and training, scheduling, and optimizing workflows. A CDM credential and ServSafe certification are required, with preference for long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in food service management, preferably Long-term Care setting.
• Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Knowledge of regulatory and sanitation standards.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to established budget parameters.
• Safety measures regarding employees and food.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance, company standards, and systems are met consistently.
• Planning and organizing projects, system changes, and events.
• Staffing food service department as needed within productive hours budget.
• Employee recruitment.
• Interview, orient, train, and schedule employees.
• Creating and modifying job flows for positions in the food service department.
• Quality standards to ensure superior service and all aspects of running a food service department are being met.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
