Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Services Department Manager to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility.

You will oversee food service operations, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and manage staff with hands-on involvement. The role requires CDM and related certifications or the ability to obtain them quickly, plus experience in quantity food production and supervision.

Qualifications

• CDM certification or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Associate degree or higher in nutrition/culinary/food service management; related coursework preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision.
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for records/reports; may require sanitation course.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training and quality control; perform dietary roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning products and report equipment issues promptly.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
