Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Certified Dietary Services Department Manager to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility in Oregon. The role focuses on high-quality food service, regulatory compliance, and staff leadership.

You will oversee inventory, records, and training, while ensuring adherence to menus and safety standards. The position is temporary full-time with a potential extension beyond 12/26/2026.

Qualifications

• CDM certification required.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and LTC-FSM within first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning products and prompt reporting of equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain attendance and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
