Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to operate residential/recycling collection trucks along specified routes.

The role involves loading waste and recyclables, compacting material, and performing pre- and post-trip inspections while maintaining safety standards on every run. The position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License and at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into the rear or side of the vehicle and compact as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required reports.
• Identify prohibited waste items and remove them from the cart or bin.
• Maintain route quality and communicate any vehicle or route issues to supervision.
• Complete daily route sheets and documentation as requested by supervisor.
