Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a professional CDL driver to operate residential and recycling collection routes. You will load waste, drive safely, perform pre/post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and ensure proper containment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; document route activities.
• Identify safety issues and report mechanical problems immediately.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior; follow PPE requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, rules, and local regulations.
• Assist in route optimization with supervisor to improve efficiency.
• May work overtime as needed.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
