Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is looking for a professional CDL driver to perform residential and recycling collection on assigned routes in Texas. You will operate side-load or rear-load trucks, load waste, operate equipment safely, and document daily routes.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and at least one year of commercial driving experience. You will work with a supervisor to ensure route quality and strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and meet safety criteria.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to safely operate the truck and heavy equipment on routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection on assigned routes with CDL truck.
• Load waste and recyclables into rear or side of vehicle and compact as needed.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues daily.
• Maintain route quality standards and safety compliance at all times.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor/mechanic promptly.
• Attend safety and branch meetings as required.
• Follow company policies and federal/state safety regulations.
