FedEx Freight, Inc in Summit, IL seeks a CDL‑A tractor‑trailer driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers. You’ll perform pre‑trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, document logs, and comply with DOT regulations.

This role requires a valid CDL A with hazmat and double/triple endorsements, MVR acceptable, and the ability to lift ~100 lbs. Overnight travel may be required; compensation includes mileage and hourly pay.

Competenze

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements; automatic restriction allowed.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• MVR must meet hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to lift and handle trailers; roughly 100 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team; show initiative.

Mansioni

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and comply with regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• May drive hard to reach job duties as city driver or dock worker when needed.
• Adhere to all safety and company policies.
