FedEx Freight in Zion, IL is seeking CDL-A drivers to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers, operating tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles or triples where applicable. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintain logs, while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• MVR must meet hiring standards and DOT regulatory requirements.
• LCV operations require meeting minimum standards in listed states.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to hook-up/break down sets of trailers and lift payloads as needed.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles (and triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractor/trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch about delays or problems.
• May perform chaining of vehicle tires.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
