The position demands a Class A CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements, plus DOT compliance. You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage documentation, and operate under a pay structure including mileage and hourly

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• Must possess 1 year experience within most recent 3 years, or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR 383 and FMC regulations.
• Long combination vehicles (LCV) qualifications apply in specified states.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
