Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. You will be responsible, punctual, and maintain a clean driving record.

The position requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, compliance with background checks, FMCSA Clearinghouse, drug testing, and a yearly physician statement if needed. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) is required.
• School bus endorsement is preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic violations in the last five years.
• Pass background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• Must be age 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit CDL/endorsement annually.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment and random tests).
• Medical statement yearly for known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety and cleanliness.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
