Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students to and from the LifeWise site. Responsibilities include safe driving, keeping the bus clean, and enforcing safety rules.

Requirements include CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, a background check, and drug/alcohol testing, with adherence to the LifeWise Faith-based code. Drivers aged 21–80 are eligible, with annual renewal for those over 75.

Qualifications

• CDL with Passenger Vehicle endorsement required.
• Age 21–80 years; annual renewal for drivers over 75.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• MedicalStatement for drivers with known medical conditions.
• No at-fault accidents or traffic violations in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
