Job summary

Candidates must hold a CDL with passenger endorsement, maintain a clean driving record, pass background and FMCSA checks, and comply with drug/alcohol testing and medical statements as required.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment and randomly thereafter.
• Annual submission of CDL license and P endorsement if age over 75 as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the director.
