Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Route Foreman to oversee a team of drivers, ensure on-time service and safety compliance. The role emphasizes coordinating daily routes, inspections, and driver performance while maintaining DOT logs and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of CDL driving experience, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to read maps. The position requires flexibility for nights/weekends and occasional travel between offices.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ CDL driving experience required; lead role experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of local area; ability to read maps.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily activities of route drivers and inspections.
• Ensure routes are completed; drive as needed.
• Resolve missed stops with dispatch and staff.
• Assign and track daily work orders to drivers.
• Ensure DOT logs and paperwork are compliant.
• Resolve customer service issues.
• Maintain driver logs and logs accuracy; pre/post-trip inspections.
• Assist with container delivery and accident reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
