Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Route Supervisor to oversee a team of drivers and ensure safe, reliable service for customers and communities. You will manage daily activities, coach staff, monitor performance, and enforce quality and safety standards.

Candidate must hold a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and have knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations. The role requires reading maps, working nights/weekends as needed, and occasional travel between offices.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor and enforce quality and safety standards and ensure compliance goals are met.
• Plan, distribute, and follow up on daily route assignments.
• Conduct investigations for accidents, injuries, and property damage claims.
• Fill in during the absence of other supervisors/office staff.
