Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Route Foreman to supervise a team of drivers, ensuring safe, on-time collection and high customer service standards. The role requires CDL (Class B) and knowledge of DOT regulations; you will coordinate route execution, document logs, and resolve issues with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• CDL required; lead role experience preferred.
• Ability to read maps and navigate routes.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Experience in waste industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily activities of route drivers including driver observations, lot inspections, Vehicle Safety Inspections, auditing and maintenance of routes.
• Ensure routes are completed by assigned driver or utility driver; run routes as needed.
• Manage missed stops by working with dispatch, drivers and staff to resolve issues.
• Assist with assigning and tracking daily work orders to drivers.
• Ensure drivers complete paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
• Assist with resolution of customer service issues.
• Maintain understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and assist with DOT logs.
• Monitor and enforce quality and safety standards to meet/exceed goals.
• Assist with delivery of containers.
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and log completion.
• Maintain and update drivers’ log sheets.
• Assist with accident investigations and reporting.
