Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Route Foreman to oversee a team of drivers, ensure safe and productive service, and resolve customer issues. The role requires CDL experience, DOT/OSHA knowledge, and the ability to manage daily routes and paperwork with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Hours are typically 5am–7pm, Monday–Friday with Saturday availability as needed. You will monitor driver performance, complete inspections, and support dispatch in resolving issues while maintaining high

• Must operate all required equipment.
• Professional communication with employees and customers.
• Proficient with computers and DOT/OSHA compliance knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership to drive daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily activities of route drivers and inspections.
• Ensure routes are completed and logs are accurate.
• Resolve missed stops with dispatch and drivers.
• Assign and track daily work orders for drivers.
• Ensure DOT logs and paperwork meet policy and regulations.
• Resolve customer service issues and maintain safety standards.
• Monitor Hours of Service regulations and driver compliance.
• Encourage productivity and on-time route completion.
• Assist with container deliveries and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Maintain driver logs and incident reporting.
