Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes in Decatur, IL. You will operate a residential truck, perform inspections, and document routes while delivering courteous service to customers.

Requirements include a CDL or CDL school certificate and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience; overtime may be required. Comprehensive benefits include PTO, health plans, HSA, parental leave, and a 401(k) with employer

Qualifications

• CDL required or CDL school certificate.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria and be able to safely operate the truck and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on specified routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into vehicle and ensure proper compacting.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete route documentation.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor or mechanic.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety standards.
