Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes across designated areas. The role emphasizes courteous service, adherence to safety standards, and efficient vehicle operation.

The pay is $28/hour, with comprehensive benefits including PTO, health plans, 401(k) with employer match, and disability coverage. Overtime may be required and a CDL is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and safely operate the truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and equipment to collect waste on assigned routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and ensure proper containment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety standards and company policies.
• Support supervisor with routing and safety initiatives.
