Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate residential and recycling collection trucks, load materials, and ensure accurate daily documentation.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, proper PPE, and the ability to communicate equipment issues to supervisors. OT may be required, and a CDL or related driving experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired
• Ability to safely operate a waste collection vehicle
• Knowledge of safety standards and PPE usage
• Ability to read and follow route sheets and documentation
• Good communication with supervisors and customers

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on designated routes.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports.
• Identify and tag prohibited waste items and report issues.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and equipment safety.
• Follow all safety policies and company procedures on route
• May manage helpers and coordinate routing with supervisor.
