Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL or CLP prior to entry.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements (FMCSA 391).
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and operate trucking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies from tractors and trailers.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment issues.
