You will complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, secure freight, and assist customers with pick-ups and deliveries. Requirements include a valid CDL A or CLP, a clean MVR, and DOT regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL class A or CLP required prior to entering job classification.
• MVR must meet hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations must be met.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using motorized/manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets/straps/rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays or equipment issues.
• Demonstrate internal and external customer service.
• Assist customers with pick-up/delivery needs.
